Sarre & Simons is a music theatre writing team made up of Millicent Sarre (you can call her Mim) and Joseph Simons (you can call him Joe), based on Kaurna Yerta, Adelaide, South Australia. Grounded in a shared ambition to create original works of scale that contribute to the Australian musical theatre canon, PRIMETIME brings together our extensive and complementary experience in musical theatre.
Sarre & Simons believe there is a proven appetite for new, high-quality, locally written musicals. But how often do you see a musical featuring five leading ladies with ages ranging between 20 and 60? With richly developed, relatable characters and an emotionally engaging score, the musical offers a compelling narrative that resonates with audiences of diverse ages. First presented as a work-in-progress at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, PRIMETIME received strong audience feedback and enthusiastic support for a full production.
